The Way Air Conditioning Works

Air conditioning works by taking advantage of the physical properties of a chemical called refrigerant. Refrigerant is compressed by your compressor into a liquid, a process which releases heat and heats the liquid. Your condenser then cools that same liquid, but keeps it pressurized until it gets released into a non-pressurized chamber. When the refrigerant is no longer pressurized, it becomes a gas and takes heat energy back in, which cools down the surrounding air and chamber. The cool air gets blown through your vents and the refrigerant is cycled back to the compressor.
